Who We Are

MICC is a nonprofit organization located in the heart of Richfield only 15 minutes south of Minneapolis. Since our beginning in 1996, our unique campus, located in the Colony Apartments complex, allows our participants with autism and learning differences to truly engage in an experiential learning and apartment-living environment.
Our programs are focused on delivering curriculum and supports in the areas of independent living skills, social and emotional learning, career skills and employment, and healthy living. We believe our participants can fulfill their potential and live an independent, vibrant life. |
Celebrating 25 YearsMinnesota Independence College and Community was named one of Star Tribune’s Top Workplaces in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. Our organization has grown to over 70 employees and we are hiring!
