Participant of the Month is awarded by nominations from both peers and staff for individuals who have clearly demonstrated one or more of our three R’s: responsibility, resilience, and respect.

Read more about Mirit and Hailey who have been chosen as participants of the month for October.

Participant of the Month (Community): Mirit

Meet Mirit, MICC's October Community Program Participant of the Month! Mirit is currently in her second year as a community member, and she brings a lot of positivity and enthusiasm to our MICC community.

Mirit has a sweet tooth, and her favorite treats include Dots and Swedish Fish. When it comes to snacks, she enjoys Cheetos, and her go-to fast food choice is Chipotle. Her favorite store is Nectar in the Mall of America.

One of her hobbies that she's passionate about is cooking and arts and crafts. These activities allow her to express her creativity and enjoy her free time to the fullest.

Mirit cherishes the memories she's made at MICC, particularly the fun retreats and enjoyable classes. Her favorites include the Movie of the Month Club and Mandalas with Mike. These experiences have allowed her to connect with her peers and make lasting memories.

Mirit's hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed. She believes her commitment to demonstrating the three R's – respect, resilience, and responsibility – played a significant role in earning her the Participant of the Month recognition.

Congratulations, Mirit!

Participant of the Month (College): Hailey

In the College Program, we're thrilled to introduce Hailey as MICC's October Participant of the Month! Hailey is a first-year participant this year, and she has already made a remarkable impression on both her peers and staff.

Hailey is a music enthusiast who loves attending concerts and even started playing the guitar last year. Her favorite bands include Blink 182, Sum 41, and Good Charlotte. She's passionate about animals and has been volunteering at a fox rescue called Save A Fox for over a year.

Despite her relatively short time at MICC, Hailey's favorite memory is meeting the many wonderful people who make up our community. Her positive attitude and kindness have quickly endeared her to her fellow participants.

Hailey's recognition as Participant of the Month is well-deserved. She has demonstrated remarkable resilience, responsibility, and respect throughout her time at MICC. Her contributions in class, her role as a responsible role model, and her ability to maintain a drama-free environment have set her apart.

Congratulations, Hailey!
